Train in Manchester, easy to reach from Bolton
If you are based in Bolton, structured tattoo training is a short train ride away. Manchester Tattoo College teaches in small groups with working artists in central Manchester, so you can commute in without a long or expensive journey.
Students travel to us from across Bolton and the surrounding towns, from Farnworth and Horwich to Westhoughton and Kearsley. You can take the full 10-day course or a short fine line course and travel in each day.

Travelling from Bolton to Manchester
By train or tram
around 20 minutes direct by train from Bolton into Manchester. Deansgate is one of Manchester's best-connected stations and the studio is a few minutes away.
By road
about 30–45 minutes by road via the A666 or M61 depending on traffic. In practice the Metrolink or a train is usually faster than driving into Manchester.
By bus or coach
regular bus and coach routes connect Bolton with Manchester city centre, dropping you close to the studio.
Bolton is close enough for a daily commute; most local students travel in by train each morning rather than staying over.
